A little hint of Istanbul off hustly and bustly Jetty Road, Glenelg. Dark and moody, fitted with the obligatory mish-mash of furniture, Pera Kahve is inspired by the coffee houses of Istanbul. Just the sort of place to sit down your weary freelance bones, have a coffee, and prepare for an afternoon of meetings.
The coffee is sound - they roast their beans onsite. Quality produce abounds - Tweedvale Milk for example. Food is has a distinct regional twang, with some breakfasty staples too. Prices are decent, so you could make this a couple-of-times-a-week kind of pitstop.
There are power points everywhere, so don’t fret if you have a low battery. There’s no WiFi, so back your dongle or have your Personal Hotspot at the ready. If we lived in the area, this would easily become a regular coffice.
